OSPTA Hospice is looking for volunteers. Give the gift of love by spending time with our hospice patients. Be there to listen, to read, to sing or play music, to laugh together, to share stories; just a friendly visit brings joy to their lives. A little spare time will make a big difference in their lives and in yours.
Things our volunteers do for patients:
- companionship/friendly visits
- respite visits to provide relief to family/caregivers
- prayer if requested
- activities for socialization and stimulation
- pet therapy
- music therapy
- end of life comfort care
- touch therapy
- aroma therapy
- art therapy
- happy hour socials
- birthday parties
- bereavement support
- Thanksgiving dinners
- staff inservices/education
- CPR training
- Veteran Recognition and pinning ceremonies
OSPTA is certified in the “We Honor Veterans” national program – We are listed in their national directory for Veteran acknowledgment and support to our military.
